Do you accept insurance?
Currently, Homegrown Feeding is private-pay only. If ongoing therapy services are warranted after a consultation, session packages are available at a discounted rate.
What about Early Intervention?
Kristi an approved provider for Early Intervention services through Suffolk County. This is a no-cost program for children who qualify. If you are interested in working with her through this program, please call 631-853-2318. An evaluation will be scheduled, and you will receive a report and attend an IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) meeting to determine if your child qualifies for speech/ feeding therapy. If they do, she can contact your OSC (Ongoing Service Coordinator) to arrange to work together at no cost to you.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, checks, and credit cards (subject to processing fee) are accepted. You can typically use your flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare savings account (HSA). Payment is due at the time of service. A credit card will be required to be kept on file regardless of payment method.
Where are therapy sessions provided?
Sessions are typically provided in your own home, but can also be within the community such as at your local library if necessary. There is no additional travel fee for locations within 10 miles of Miller Place, NY. We also offer virtual therapy sessions for clients residing anywhere in New York State.
Is virtual therapy helpful for feeding?
This is generally on a case-by-case basis, but virtual therapy can absolutely be helpful for a wide range of feeding issues. Please schedule a free phone consultation to discuss this further if you are interested!
Do I need a doctor's referral?
Referrals are not necessary for private pay therapy or consultation services.
